Prunus laurocerasus is a cultivated ornamental plant, used mostly for planting in gardens and parks in worldwide. Commonly used for hedges, screening plant, and as a landscape plant. We find these cultivars are very tough shrubs and can cope with the difficult growing conditions, this can be either shaded and dry conditions. Laureland responds well to pruning.
Other common names, Common laurel, Cherry Laurel, English Laurel.
Ultimate shrub height 8-10 metres or you can also keep as a smaller height if trimmed.
Liquid feed with a watering can every 1-2 weeks between March - October ( Growing season ). This will keep them green, shiny and strong. Don't feed in full sun as the feed soaks into the leaf. You can also use granular feed is also ok around the base to soak into the roots. This should be every 4-6 weeks.
Water shrub every 2-3 days in normal weather for first 4-6 weeks, for hot weather everyday.
Plant 3 or 4 every metre for best results.
